2022 Ford Mustang Trim Levels

The Ford Mustang is a timeless vehicle—a sporty ride that commands the roads and gives you a sense of speed and powerful performance that thrills drivers. Here at Cavalier Ford Greenbrier, we want to show drivers in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake, VA, the various 2022 Ford Mustang trim levels and what each provides.

In total, there are ten trim levels available, each providing something that drivers can utilize on the road. Let’s dive in!

Ford Mustang EcoBoost^® Fastback

We begin with the base level, the Ford Mustang EcoBoost^® Fastback. This trim comes with a 2.3L EcoBoost^® 4-cylinder engine, which is capable of producing 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque.

The interior comes standard with a 6-speaker Sound System that plays audio via the SYNC^® system. The FordPass™ Connect 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot allows you to connect your phone to your vehicle to provide remote access and diagnostic updates.

This model is also available as the Ford Mustang EcoBoost^® Convertible trim.

Ford Mustang EcoBoost^® Premium Fastback

Next is the Ford Mustang EcoBoost® Premium Fastback trim that features the same performance as the previous trim. The interior offers the biggest upgrade, giving you the SYNC^® 3 system with a larger touchscreen. It also upgrades to a 9-speaker Sound System and comes with a 6-month SiriusXM® All Access satellite radio trial subscription.

The EcoBoost^® Premium Fastback also comes as a convertible in another trim level.

Ford Mustang GT Fastback

Next, we move to the Ford Mustang GT Fastback. This trim level gives you a step up in power and performance, with a 5.0L V8 engine under the hood that produces 450 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.

The interior includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel and parking brake, bringing some of the sporty style inside. In this trim, you get the SYNC^® system and the 6-speaker sound system as standard features. However, you can upgrade to the available SYNC^® 3 and the 9-speaker sound system.

Ford Mustang GT Premium Fastback

This trim also features the 5.0L V8 engine and provides the same standard features as the Premium Fastback, including SYNC^® 3 and the 9-speaker sound system. You also get FordPass™ Connect with this trim, with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and two smart-charging USB ports.

The GT Premium trim is also available as a convertible.

Ford Mustang Mach 1

The Ford Mustang Mach 1 includes the same 5.0L V8 engine; however, it adds unique features to enhance the performance. This includes the active valve performance exhaust with revised tuning. You also get the TREMEC^® 6-speed manual transmission with rev matching in this trim.

In addition to the engine, the same interior features as the previous trim are carried over to the Mach 1.

Ford Mustang Mach 1 Premium

The Mach 1 Premium trim consists of many of the same features as the Mach 1, including the engine and the manual transmission. You also get the 3.73 TORSEN^® Limited-slip Rear Axle, providing more grip and handling during your drive.

The interior gets a boost, with available ambient lighting and the 12-inch LCD Digital Instrument Cluster with MyColor^® that shows off vehicle information. Finally, there is one notable upgrade to the entertainment within the vehicle—the available 12-speaker B&O Sound System by Bang and Olufsen^® that includes HD Radio™ Technology.

Ford Mustang Shelby^® GT500^®

The final trim level is the Ford Mustang Shelby^® GT500^®. This trim offers a unique exterior style, with an elongated front and the iconic Shelby cobra. Under the hood, you'll get the 5.2L Supercharged Cross Plane Crank V8 engine that generates 760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque. You'll also appreciate the TREMEC^® 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

The interior features a trim-specific style, with a Shelby^® exclusive aluminum instrument panel applique, paddle shifters wrapped with Leather/Alcantara^®, and RECARO^® leather-trimmed with Miko™ suede sport seating. You also get the SYNC^® 3 system with FordPass™ Connect.
